Liverpool signed Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna in June 2026. The transfer continued the Spanish winger’s rise from Barcelona’s youth system through Real Madrid and La Liga.
Born in Barcelona on 13 July 2003, Muñoz began at Sant Gabriel and entered Barcelona’s La Masia academy at age 11. He later developed with Damm before joining Real Madrid in 2021. After playing for Real Madrid’s reserve sides, he made his La Liga debut in May 2025 against Barcelona and also appeared at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Osasuna signed him in July 2025 on a five-year contract. His 2025–26 campaign produced 34 league appearances and six goals, helping establish him as a senior-level attacking player before Liverpool’s June move.
Muñoz primarily plays as a left winger but can operate as a forward. A common mix-up is confusing him with other Spanish players named Víctor Muñoz; this is the Barcelona-born attacker whose surname is Muñoz Villanueva. He also made his Spain debut in 2026.
