Which Eintracht Frankfurt defender joined Coventry City for a listed £17.2m in summer 2026? Aurèle Amenda joined Coventry City from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal reported at roughly £17m.
Amenda is a Swiss centre-back who began his senior career with Young Boys. Eintracht Frankfurt signed him in January 2024, although he remained with Young Boys on loan for the rest of that season before moving to Germany for 2024–25.
He made 42 competitive appearances for Frankfurt, including 32 Bundesliga appearances, and earned his first senior Switzerland call-up while contracted to the club. Coventry recruited him after winning promotion to the Premier League, adding a physically strong, composed defender to Frank Lampard’s squad.
Reported figures vary slightly because the transfer was described using different currency conversions and add-on structures. Reports placed the deal between about £17m and £17.3m, but Amenda is the clear canonical answer; Tuta, Niels Nkounkou and Robin Koch were not the player in this transfer.
