Which Pokémon game introduced the region of Paldea?

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced the Paldea region.

Released for Nintendo Switch in 2022, the games are set in Paldea, a large region influenced by the Iberian Peninsula. They represent a major shift toward an open-world structure, allowing players to explore much of the region without following one strictly linear route.

The games feature three main story paths: the Victory Road journey through Gym challenges, the Path of Legends quest involving Titan Pokémon, and Starfall Street, which focuses on Team Star. These paths can be pursued in a flexible order before their stories converge.

Paldea also introduced the Terastal phenomenon, which changes a Pokémon's appearance and can alter its type during battle. Galar belongs to Sword and Shield, Alola belongs to Sun and Moon, and Hisui is connected to Sinnoh, making those regions common points of confusion.
