Which player won the 2015 Hearthstone World Championship?

The story behind the answer

Ostkaka won the 2015 Hearthstone World Championship. The Swedish player, whose name is Sebastian Engwall, captured the title at BlizzCon in Anaheim, California, during Hearthstone’s second world championship season.

Ostkaka defeated Hotform 3–1 in the grand final. The event used Hearthstone’s tournament format, in which players brought multiple prepared decks and could not simply rely on one consistently played deck. His disciplined lineup and match preparation helped him win the championship and its $100,000 first prize.

This title is frequently mixed up with the inaugural 2014 Hearthstone World Championship, won by Firebat, or with Pavel’s 2016 championship. Ostkaka’s win belongs specifically to the 2015 season and is one of the major early milestones in Hearthstone esports. His achievement also made Sweden the home country of the second Hearthstone world champion.
