sOs won the 2013 StarCraft II WCS Global Finals.
South Korean Protoss player Kim “sOs” Yoo-jin won the 2013 StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals at BlizzCon. He defeated fellow Korean Protoss player NaNiwa 4–1 in the final, claiming the global title and a $100,000 first prize.
The 2013 WCS was divided into regional seasons and culminated in the Global Finals. Players earned qualification through results in WCS Korea, WCS Europe, and WCS America, creating a worldwide championship structure rather than a single open tournament.
The result is sometimes mixed up with the 2013 WCS Season 3 Korea champion, soO, or with sOs’s later 2014 WCS Global Finals victory. sOs became the first player to win the WCS Global Finals twice when he also took the 2015 title, but his first global championship came in 2013.
