The Confessions II short film was released on YouTube on June 8, 2026.
Confessions II is a 14-minute musical short film and visual companion to Madonna’s fifteenth studio album, also titled Confessions II. Directed by TORSO, the film was built around the album’s first six songs and combines music-video performance with a surreal narrative involving a film crew, a nightclub, ritualistic choreography and Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon.
The film premiered earlier at the Tribeca Festival on June 5, 2026. Its public digital release followed three days later on YouTube, making the platform the answer to the question. That release should not be confused with the film’s festival premiere or with its later inclusion on the album’s alternate Film Edition.
The production was shot over six months in London, Los Angeles and New York City. It features appearances from artists and performers including Sabrina Carpenter and Feid, alongside a large celebrity cast. The YouTube launch also made the project broadly accessible beyond the festival audience, and the film reportedly attracted 1.2 million views during its first 24 hours online.
