Which Pixar Cars short follows Mater’s attempt to become a daredevil stunt performer?

Mater the Greater follows Mater’s attempt to become a daredevil stunt performer.

The short is part of Pixar’s Cars Toons series, which gives Mater exaggerated adventures separate from the main feature-film stories. In Mater the Greater, Mater tells Lightning McQueen about his supposed history as a famous stunt performer. The comedy comes from the gap between Mater’s enormous claims and the increasingly ridiculous situations shown on screen.

Mater the Greater was released in 2008 and was the first Cars Toons short. Larry the Cable Guy voices Mater, while Owen Wilson voices Lightning McQueen. The title is a pun on “theater” and on Mater’s boastful self-image. Other Cars Toons episodes include Rescue Squad Mater, Tokyo Mater, and Unidentified Flying Mater.
