Guido is the small Italian forklift who works at Luigi’s tire shop in Pixar’s Cars.
Guido is Luigi’s assistant at Casa Della Tires in Radiator Springs. He speaks mainly Italian and is famous for his extraordinary tire-changing speed. In the film’s climactic pit-stop sequence, Guido changes all four of Lightning McQueen’s tires in seconds, surprising the racing teams and proving that his skill is more than a shop-floor curiosity.
Guido’s design and name reflect the film’s affectionate references to Italian automotive culture. Luigi is a Fiat 500 and operates the tire shop, while Guido is a forklift rather than a car. This distinction matters because both characters are associated with the same business and often appear together. Guido returns in Cars 2 and Cars 3, where his tire-changing ability remains one of his defining talents.
