Fillmore is the green Volkswagen Type 2 bus in Pixar's Cars who promotes natural living.
Fillmore lives in Radiator Springs and runs a small shop selling organic fuel. His character represents a cheerful counterculture personality, and his name references George Fillmore, a co-founder of the 1960s music festival associated with San Francisco's Fillmore district.
The character's vehicle design is based on the Volkswagen Type 2, often called the Transporter or Microbus. Fillmore's bright green appearance and peace-themed details set him apart from Sarge, the military-style jeep who lives nearby. Their friendly arguments are a recurring part of the town's comic ensemble.
Fillmore is voiced by George Carlin in the first Cars film. Lloyd Sherr later voiced the character in subsequent franchise productions after Carlin's death in 2008. Fillmore appears in the films and in Cars-related short-form material.
