Which Pixar Cars character is a 1959 Fiat 500?
Answer
Luigi
Answer
Luigi
Luigi is a 1959 Fiat 500 in Pixar’s Cars franchise.
Luigi owns Luigi’s Casa Della Tires in Radiator Springs and is one of the town’s most enthusiastic supporters of Ferrari racing. His compact Italian design and expressive personality make him immediately recognizable among the larger American cars around him.
The Fiat 500, often called the Cinquecento, became an important small car in postwar Italy. Its size and rounded shape are reflected in Luigi’s character design. In the films, Luigi’s close friend and assistant Guido is a small forklift rather than another Fiat 500.
Luigi’s love of Ferrari is especially important in Cars, when Michael Schumacher appears as a Ferrari character at the end of the film. Luigi also appears in Cars 2 and Cars 3, continuing to run the tire shop with Guido.
