Which Pawnee journalist hosts "Ya Heard? With Perd!"?

Perd Hapley hosts “Ya Heard? With Perd!” in Parks and Recreation.

Perd is Pawnee’s television journalist, played by actor Jay Jackson. His reporting style is deliberately awkward: he states obvious facts, repeats words in tautologies, and treats ordinary events as if they were breaking news. That stiff delivery makes him one of the show’s most recognizable recurring media characters.

Perd reports on many Pawnee controversies, including Leslie Knope’s political scandals, Councilman Bill Dexhart’s sex scandal, and the supposed Wamapoke curse surrounding the Harvest Festival. He also hosts another program, “The Final Word With Perd,” so the character is associated with more than one fictional news show.

The other options are also media figures, which makes this an easy question to mix up. Shauna Malwae-Tweep works for the Pawnee Journal, Joan Callamezzo hosts “Pawnee Today,” and Derry Murbles is another local journalist. Perd is the one whose name appears in the title of “Ya Heard?”
