Which owl had to be kept balanced in Candy Crush Saga's Dreamworld mode?

The story behind the answer

The owl kept balanced in Candy Crush Saga's Dreamworld mode was Odus.

Dreamworld was introduced as a separate set of Candy Crush Saga levels with the same general match-three foundation but an additional balancing mechanic. Players had to manage matches involving two randomly selected candy colors so that Odus would remain perched on his crescent-shaped scale.

If the balance was disrupted, Odus fell asleep or the level failed, forcing the player to try again. Successfully collecting enough candies filled a meter and triggered the Moon Struck power, which removed candies of the selected colors and briefly changed the board's conditions.

Odus is therefore not interchangeable with characters such as Tiffi, Mr. Toffee, or Mr. Yeti. Dreamworld gave the owl a distinctive gameplay role, rather than merely using him as background story. The mode also had a separate life pool, allowing players to switch between Dreamworld and the main game, but Dreamworld is no longer accessible.
