The one-lap electric-bike race that ran from 2010 to 2019 was TT Zero.
TT Zero was introduced for the 2010 Isle of Man TT after replacing the 2009 TTXGP franchise. Its regulations called for two-wheeled racing motorcycles powered without carbon-based fuels and producing no toxic or noxious emissions.
The race used one 37.733-mile lap of the Snaefell Mountain Course. Mark Miller won the inaugural 2010 event on a MotoCzysz E1pc, completing the lap in 23 minutes 22.89 seconds. A common mix-up is treating TTXGP and TT Zero as identical: TTXGP preceded TT Zero, while TT Zero was the officially sanctioned TT event.
Team Mugen became the dominant entrant, winning six consecutive races from 2014 through 2019. The class was then placed under a moratorium because of limited participation and slow growth in electric motorcycle entries.
