Governor's Bridge is a tight hairpin and road junction on the eastern outskirts of Douglas. Riders approach it late in the lap after Signpost Corner and the short Bedstead section, then negotiate the turn before rejoining the Glencrutchery Road toward the TT Grandstand.
The name can cause confusion because Governor's Bridge is not directly beside the finish line. After the turn, competitors still have a short run along Glencrutchery Road, including Governor's Bridge Dip's exit and the uphill approach to the finishing area. Nevertheless, it is the last major named corner on the conventional course description.
The corner became part of the modern Mountain Course after the 1920 route changes moved the start and finish to Glencrutchery Road. The bridge and adjacent dip remain race-only features during TT events, while the surrounding roads normally serve public traffic.
