Which Olivia Rodrigo song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2021?

“Drivers License” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2021.

The song was Olivia Rodrigo’s debut single and was released on January 8, 2021. Its intimate lyrics, dramatic arrangement, and vocal performance quickly generated enormous streaming activity, making it one of the most prominent pop breakthroughs of the early 2020s.

“Drivers License” entered the Hot 100 at No. 1 on the chart dated January 23, 2021. It also set major streaming records and remained at the summit for eight consecutive weeks. The song came before Rodrigo’s debut album, Sour, which was released in May 2021.

“Good 4 U” and “Deja Vu” were also singles from Sour, but neither was her debut. “Vampire,” released in 2023, became another Rodrigo No. 1, but it belongs to her second album, Guts. The title is conventionally styled with a lowercase “s” in “License” in some listings, while the official title is “Drivers License.”
