Which 1975 song by Captain & Tennille topped the Billboard Hot 100?

Captain & Tennille topped the Billboard Hot 100 with “Love Will Keep Us Together” in 1975.

The song was written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield and had previously been recorded by Sedaka. Captain & Tennille’s version became the duo’s signature hit and their first U.S. No. 1.

It spent four weeks at the top of the Hot 100 and later won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year. The recording’s bright pop arrangement helped make it one of the most recognizable singles of the decade.

“Muskrat Love” was another major Captain & Tennille hit, but it peaked at No. 4. “Do That to Me One More Time” became their second No. 1 in 1980, so the duo had two chart-toppers rather than one.
