Jensen Huang has served as Nvidia’s president and chief executive since 1993.
Huang co-founded Nvidia with Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem in 1993. The company initially focused on graphics hardware, but its graphics processing units later became important for scientific computing, gaming, and artificial-intelligence workloads.
Huang has remained Nvidia’s chief executive throughout its transformation from a specialist graphics-chip company into one of the world’s most valuable businesses by market capitalization. His recognizable leather-jacketed public appearances have also made him one of the most visible leaders in the semiconductor industry.
A common mix-up is to confuse Huang with Lisa Su, who leads Advanced Micro Devices. The two companies compete in several chip markets, but they are separate corporations and the executives are not siblings.
