Which Nintendo handheld received a version of the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in 2000?

The story behind the answer

The Nintendo handheld that received a version of the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in 2000 was the Game Boy Color.

The Game Boy Color edition was released on March 30, 2000, after the PlayStation original debuted in 1999. It was developed by Natsume for Activision, rather than being a direct conversion by Neversoft. The system's limited hardware required a substantially different design.

Instead of the PlayStation game's fully 3D courses, the handheld version combined vertically scrolling overhead stages with side-scrolling half-pipe sections. It included modes such as Half Pipe, Tournament, Rival and Versus, but only a smaller selection of tricks and a synthesized soundtrack.

A common mix-up is the Game Boy Advance, which received a separate Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 in 2001. That version was developed by Vicarious Visions and used an isometric 3D engine. The original game's 2000 Nintendo handheld release, however, was specifically for Game Boy Color.
