Which Nintendo console was Pokémon Stadium developed for?

The story behind the answer

Pokémon Stadium was developed for the Nintendo 64.

Nintendo EAD developed and Nintendo published the game. It brought Pokémon battles into a three-dimensional arena, allowing players to watch attacks and transformations rendered in 3D rather than on the Game Boy’s two-dimensional screen.

The game supported Pokémon from Red, Blue, and Yellow through the Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak. Players could use compatible Game Boy cartridges to bring their own Pokémon into Stadium, where they could battle, organize, and store them.

Pokémon Stadium was released in Japan on 30 April 1999 and reached North America and Europe in 2000. Its title can cause confusion because Japan had an earlier, Japan-only game called Pocket Monsters Stadium. The Western Pokémon Stadium was effectively a later and expanded entry in that line.
