Which New York City Subway terminal has four island platforms and serves four different subway services?

The story behind the answer

Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue is the New York City Subway terminal with four island platforms serving four different services.

The large elevated terminal is at the western end of the Coney Island peninsula in Brooklyn. It serves the D, F, N, and Q trains, making it one of the system’s most recognizable multi-service terminals. Its broad canopy and large platform arrangement reflect Coney Island’s historic role as a major amusement and seaside destination.

The current terminal was reconstructed in the early twenty-first century. The renovation added a prominent solar-panel canopy and modernized the station while retaining its role as a major transfer point for Brooklyn riders and visitors.

Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue is often described as the largest elevated terminal in the subway system. Its four services should not be confused with four separate stations: the services use a single large terminal complex with four platform tracks arranged for convenient passenger circulation.
