Answer
Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue
Answer
Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue
Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue has an art installation called “My Coney Island Baby.”
The station is the large terminal at the western end of the Coney Island peninsula and serves four subway services: the D, F, N, and Q. The artwork, created by Lawrence Weiner, uses text and geometric elements to evoke the history and identity of Coney Island.
The terminal was substantially rebuilt and reopened in 2004 after a major renovation. Its distinctive canopy and broad elevated structure make it one of the most recognizable stations in the system.
Visitors sometimes call the terminal simply “Coney Island,” but its official name includes Stillwell Avenue. The station is also associated with the amusement district, the boardwalk, and the annual Mermaid Parade, all located nearby.
