The New York City Subway A train runs to both Far Rockaway–Mott Avenue and Ozone Park–Lefferts Boulevard.
The A is one of the system’s longest routes, crossing Manhattan and Brooklyn before splitting in Queens. Most A trains continue to Far Rockaway–Mott Avenue, while some terminate at Ozone Park–Lefferts Boulevard. This makes the A unusual because one service connects two different eastern Queens terminals.
The C train shares much of the A’s Manhattan and Brooklyn route but does not continue to either of these Queens terminals. The nearby Rockaway Park Shuttle serves the Rockaway Park branch, but it is a separate service and is not the route that reaches both Far Rockaway and Lefferts Boulevard.
The A is identified by a blue route color because it uses the Eighth Avenue Line in Manhattan. Its route also includes major stops such as 42nd Street–Port Authority Bus Terminal and Fulton Street.
