The 7 service has a New York City Subway station named Mets–Willets Point.
The station is on the Flushing Line in Queens and serves Citi Field, home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets, as well as Flushing Meadows–Corona Park. The 7 and <7> trains stop there, with express service patterns varying by time and direction.
The station has had several names over its history, reflecting nearby roads, events, and the baseball team. It was known as Willets Point Boulevard for many years before receiving the Mets–Willets Point name in 2009. The name distinguishes the station from Willets Point, an industrial area north of the park.
Major events at Citi Field and the U.S. Open can make the station especially busy. It is also near the former site of the 1939 and 1964 New York World’s Fairs, adding historical significance beyond its sports connection.
