The Flushing Line carries the 7 and <7> New York City Subway services between Queens and Manhattan.
The line is part of the IRT division and runs from 34th Street–Hudson Yards in Manhattan to Flushing–Main Street in Queens. It crosses the East River through the Steinway Tunnel and serves neighborhoods including Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Corona, and Flushing.
The 7 is the regular all-stops service. The <7> is the peak-direction express service, which skips selected stations in Queens during busy periods. Both services use the same line and are identified by a purple route color on subway maps.
The Flushing Line is sometimes called the Corona Line because much of its Queens route passes through Corona. It is also easy to confuse with the Queens Boulevard Line, another major Queens route that carries several lettered trains but is a separate line. The line’s western extension to Hudson Yards opened in 2015.
