Arnaud's is the New Orleans restaurant founded by Arnaud Cazenave in 1918.
Cazenave was a French wine salesman who became known as Count Arnaud after establishing the restaurant in the French Quarter. Arnaud's grew into a major destination for Creole cuisine, combining French culinary traditions with Gulf Coast ingredients and New Orleans dining customs.
The restaurant occupies a group of historic buildings on Bienville Street. Its connected dining rooms and museum-like interiors reflect the city’s French Quarter heritage. Arnaud's is also associated with dishes such as shrimp Arnaud, a preparation served with the restaurant’s rémoulade sauce.
Arnaud's is sometimes confused with Antoine's or Galatoire's because all three are famous French Quarter restaurants. Their founding dates and signature dishes, however, are different, making the 1918 connection specific to Arnaud's.
