Which New Mexico village contained the adobe house Georgia O'Keeffe restored and lived in from 1949?

The story behind the answer

Abiquiú contained the adobe house Georgia O'Keeffe restored and lived in from 1949.

O'Keeffe acquired the abandoned adobe compound in Abiquiú in 1945 and spent several years having it restored. She moved into the house in 1949, making it one of her principal New Mexico residences. Its courtyard, walls, door, and surrounding landscape became subjects in her paintings and photographs.

The house differed from her residence at Ghost Ranch, which was farther north and associated with more open ranch scenery. O'Keeffe valued the Abiquiú property for its architecture and for the views of the surrounding landscape.

The house is now preserved by the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and can be visited through scheduled tours. Abiquiú is sometimes confused with Santa Fe because O'Keeffe spent her final years in Santa Fe, but the restored adobe home is in Abiquiú.
