Which New Mexico village contained Georgia O'Keeffe's second home and studio?

The story behind the answer

Abiquiú contained Georgia O'Keeffe's second New Mexico home and studio. She acquired the property in 1945 and spent part of each year there after moving permanently to New Mexico in 1949. The house is now preserved as the Georgia O'Keeffe Home and Studio.

The Abiquiú property became especially important because O'Keeffe transformed it into a private, controlled working environment. Its courtyard wall and black door appear repeatedly in her paintings, including works based on the view from her garden. The house also gave her a base closer to Santa Fe than Ghost Ranch.

Abiquiú is often confused with Ghost Ranch, another place closely linked to O'Keeffe. Ghost Ranch was her earlier New Mexico retreat, while the Abiquiú house became her main home and studio. The two locations are in the same broader region, and both supplied subjects for her paintings, but they are separate communities and properties.
