Which New Mexico property became Georgia O'Keeffe's home after she acquired it in 1945?

The story behind the answer

The Abiquiu house became Georgia O'Keeffe's New Mexico home after she acquired it in 1945.

O'Keeffe had been visiting New Mexico for decades when she began seeking a permanent home in Abiquiu. She acquired a dilapidated adobe compound there in 1945 and spent years overseeing its restoration. The property eventually became one of the places most closely associated with her working life.

The house contains a famous courtyard wall and door, motifs that appear in several of her paintings. She lived in the Abiquiu house during part of the year and also maintained a home at Ghost Ranch, about 60 miles north.

The Ghost Ranch lodge was not the same property as her Abiquiu home. Taos Pueblo is a historic Indigenous community, not O'Keeffe's residence, and “Santa Fe studio” is not the name of the property acquired in 1945.
