Which NBA legend appeared as himself in season 5 episode 6?

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar appeared as himself in season 5, episode 6 of *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air*.

The episode, “Will’s Misery,” uses Abdul-Jabbar’s celebrity status as part of a storyline about Hilary’s questionable taste in golf clothing. The Banks family dislikes the shirts she gives them, but their opinion changes when they see the legendary basketball player wearing the same design. His appearance is a brief celebrity cameo rather than a fictional role.

Abdul-Jabbar is often confused with other basketball stars who appeared elsewhere in popular culture, including Magic Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal. He was the NBA’s career scoring leader for decades, won six NBA championships, and became famous for his signature skyhook. The episode originally aired during the show’s fifth season in October 1994.
