Which Narnia novel by C.S. Lewis features the character Prince Caspian?
Answer
Prince Caspian
Answer
Prince Caspian
The Narnia novel featuring Prince Caspian is titled Prince Caspian.
Published in 1951, Prince Caspian is the second book in the publication order of C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. It brings the Pevensie children back to Narnia, where they discover that centuries have passed there even though much less time has passed in their own world. They meet Caspian, the rightful heir, who is resisting the Telmarine ruler Miraz.
The story combines a struggle for political legitimacy with the return of older Narnian traditions. Caspian receives help from the Pevensies, Aslan, and creatures who represent the ancient Narnia that Miraz's regime has suppressed. The title names the central human character rather than the series' lion figure.
The novel is sometimes confused with The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which follows Caspian on a sea voyage in the next major adventure. Prince Caspian was also adapted as the second theatrical film in the Walt Disney Pictures film series.
