Polaris helps Jubilee escape X-Factor in season 2, episode 2 of X-Men '97. After X-Factor captures Jubilee, she is interrogated by Havok and Polaris aboard the team's helicarrier, then locked up with other young mutants.
Polaris is conflicted because she was once an X-Man herself. Jubilee appeals to that history and to the difference between protecting mutants and imprisoning them. Lorna ultimately lowers the cell's security field, giving Jubilee the opening she needs to act.
Jubilee then fights the guards, frees the detained mutants, and gets them to safety with help from X-Force. The scene is easy to confuse with Emma Frost's role: Emma leads X-Force into the trap, but Polaris is the X-Factor member who enables Jubilee's escape. Polaris's decision also foreshadows her later break with the government team.
