Joe Alwyn received later co-producer recognition for Taylor Swift’s “august.”
The original Folklore liner notes credit Swift and Jack Antonoff as the song’s producers. After Folklore won Album of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy recognized Alwyn as a co-producer of the track.
Alwyn worked with Swift under the songwriting pseudonym William Bowery on some Folklore and Evermore material. That pseudonym is associated with songwriting credits, but “august” is specifically linked to his production recognition rather than a William Bowery songwriting credit.
This distinction explains why different credit lists can appear to disagree. The album packaging and later awards-related recognition do not present identical credit information, so the wording of the question matters.
