Which musician co-founded the original Wailers with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh?

Bunny Wailer co-founded the original Wailers with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.

The three musicians grew up in Kingston’s Trench Town and formed the Wailers in the early 1960s. Bunny Wailer, born Neville O’Riley Livingston, was a vocalist and percussionist whose work helped shape the group’s early sound. Marley and Tosh were the other two central founding members.

The Wailers later became internationally famous through recordings produced with Lee “Scratch” Perry and, later, through their work with Island Records. Bunny Wailer left the group in the 1970s to pursue a solo career. He is sometimes confused with other major Jamaican producers or singers, but he was one of the Wailers’ original vocal trio.
