Which museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is dedicated primarily to Georgia O'Keeffe's life and work?

The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe is dedicated primarily to Georgia O'Keeffe's life and work.

The museum opened in Santa Fe in 1997, eleven years after O'Keeffe died. Its collection includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, and personal materials connected with the artist's career.

The museum's holdings help explain both major phases of O'Keeffe's work: her early abstractions and New York subjects, and her later paintings inspired by New Mexico. It also preserves documents and photographs that provide context for her working methods and relationships.

The institution is sometimes confused with the New Mexico Museum of Art, which is also in Santa Fe and has broader collections. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is the specialist institution named directly for the artist.
