Answer
Suzuki Hayabusa
Answer
Suzuki Hayabusa
The Suzuki Hayabusa became the first production motorcycle widely credited with exceeding 300 km/h.
Suzuki launched the Hayabusa, also known as the GSX1300R, in 1999. Its aerodynamic bodywork and 1,299 cc inline-four engine enabled exceptional high-speed performance, and the model quickly became central to the late-1990s speed competition between Japanese manufacturers.
The Hayabusa's record helped prompt an informal agreement among major manufacturers to limit new motorcycles to about 300 km/h. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R was developed as a rival, but production versions were electronically limited. The Hayabusa's name comes from the Japanese word for peregrine falcon, a bird known for high speed.
