The mobile operating system listed for Rocket League Sideswipe alongside Android is iOS.
Rocket League Sideswipe is Psyonix’s mobile spin-off of Rocket League. It preserves the basic idea of using cars to hit a ball into a goal, but presents matches in a two-dimensional format designed for touchscreens and shorter sessions. Wikipedia lists Android and iOS as its platforms.
The game was developed as a mobile interpretation rather than a direct technical copy of the full console and PC game. Its simplified presentation supports mobile play while retaining familiar mechanics such as aerial movement, scoring, casual playlists, and ranked competition. It also includes modes inspired by sports beyond soccer, including basketball-style play.
Development began in April 2018 with a small team. An alpha version appeared in Oceania in March 2021, followed by a worldwide release in November 2021. “Windows Phone” is a tempting distractor because Rocket League has a long multi-platform history, but Sideswipe’s listed mobile systems are Android and Apple’s iOS—not Microsoft’s discontinued phone platform or HarmonyOS.
