Bob joins Kevin and Stuart as the lead trio in the 2015 film Minions. The three Minions leave their isolated cave to search for a new villainous master for their fellow Minions.
Kevin is the tall, confident leader of the expedition, while Stuart is portrayed as a music-loving slacker. Bob is the youngest-looking and smallest of the trio, characterized by his innocence, enthusiasm, and attachment to his teddy bear, Tim. Their contrasting personalities give the film a central friendship dynamic rather than treating the Minions as an interchangeable crowd.
The story begins after the Minions have accidentally lost a succession of masters and become demoralized without someone to serve. In 1968, Kevin, Stuart, and Bob travel to New York City and then to Villain-Con in Orlando, where they meet Scarlet Overkill. Bob later pulls the Sword in the Stone and briefly becomes king of England. Dave and Jerry are also named Minions, but neither is part of this film's central trio.
