Which metal band recorded the 1986 album 'Master of Puppets'?
Answer
Metallica
Answer
Metallica
Metallica recorded the 1986 album Master of Puppets.
Master of Puppets is Metallica’s third studio album and one of the most influential records in thrash metal. It was released on March 3, 1986, and features tightly arranged songs, complex instrumental passages, and themes involving control, addiction, war, and manipulation.
The title track is especially notable for its long instrumental middle section and gradual development. The album also includes “Battery,” “Welcome Home (Sanitarium),” and “Disposable Heroes.” It was the last Metallica album to feature bassist Cliff Burton, who died later in 1986 during the band’s European tour.
The album is sometimes grouped with the band’s self-titled 1991 record, but the two have very different production styles. Master of Puppets is generally identified with Metallica’s classic thrash period.
