Taylor Swift’s “august” reached number 11 on Malaysia’s singles chart upon release.
The song performed strongly across several international markets when Folklore arrived in July 2020. Its Malaysian result placed it inside the country’s top 20, alongside a number-12 peak in Singapore, number 13 in Australia, and number 16 in Canada.
These early chart results show that the track had an international audience before the annual August trend became its most recognizable feature. Later, the song returned to attention in additional territories, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Malaysia’s number 11 is a country-specific result. It should not be mixed up with the song’s number-five peak on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart or its number-46 peak on the Billboard Global 200.
