Which London railway station has a J.K. Rowling-inspired Harry Potter shop and platform display?

The story behind the answer

King’s Cross Station has the Harry Potter platform display and shop associated with J.K. Rowling’s books.

In the novels, students travel to Hogwarts by boarding the Hogwarts Express from the fictional Platform 9¾. Rowling has explained that she originally confused the layout of King’s Cross with another London station when imagining the setting, but King’s Cross became the series’ famous real-world departure point.

A Platform 9¾ attraction was installed at the station, including a luggage trolley appearing to pass through a wall. The station also has a Harry Potter Shop selling licensed merchandise and book-related items.

The actual station has platforms numbered 9 and 10, but they are separated by railway tracks. The magical platform is fictional, so visitors cannot board a real Hogwarts train there. The nearby St Pancras station is also frequently mistaken for the location because of its distinctive exterior.
