Which London derby was scheduled to conclude the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend?

Fulham versus Chelsea was scheduled to conclude the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.

The match was set for 20:00 BST on Monday 24 August 2026 at Craven Cottage, Fulham’s riverside home. It was the final fixture of the opening round, after the Friday, Saturday and Sunday matches.

The game was a west London derby. Fulham and Chelsea are both based in west London, and their grounds are separated by a short distance along the River Thames. Craven Cottage is associated with Fulham, while Chelsea play at Stamford Bridge.

Several other London fixtures appeared earlier in the weekend, including Arsenal’s opener, Everton versus Crystal Palace and Brentford versus Tottenham Hotspur. Those matches were London-based, but Fulham versus Chelsea was the final scheduled game and the most direct derby pairing in the Monday slot.
