The LinkedIn feature retired in 2014 that visualized a user’s professional network was called InMaps. It transformed a member’s connections into an interactive network map, helping reveal clusters and relationships among professional contacts.
InMaps had been available since January 2011. Rather than displaying connections only as a list, it offered a visual overview of how a person’s network was organized, making groups of colleagues, classmates, industries, or overlapping contacts easier to spot.
The feature is sometimes confused with profile tools or modern network analytics, but InMaps had a distinctive mapping function and a specific name. LinkedIn retired it in 2014 as the company shifted its product strategy and redesigned parts of the platform.
