Which Lego theme is based on the video game Minecraft?
Answer
Lego Minecraft
Answer
Lego Minecraft
LEGO Minecraft is the LEGO theme based on the Minecraft video game. Its sets translate Minecraft’s block-built landscapes, characters, creatures, tools, and resources into physical LEGO models.
The connection began with Minecraft Micro World, set 21102, which was released through LEGO’s fan-supported CUUSOO program on June 1, 2012. The dedicated LEGO Minecraft theme was then revealed at San Diego Comic-Con and launched more broadly in September 2013.
The sets preserve Minecraft’s distinctive visual language. Locations are assembled from square, modular sections, while figures and creatures often use specially molded parts for characters such as Steve, Alex, Creepers, skeletons, and other mobs. Many models can be rearranged or connected to expand a landscape.
The theme is distinct from LEGO Super Mario, LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog, and LEGO Fortnite. Those lines are also linked to video games, but Minecraft is the game whose caves, villages, farms, Nether environments, and blocky mobs define LEGO Minecraft. The product line remains active and has expanded across many set styles.
