Faker became the first inductee into Riot Games’ Hall of Legends in 2024.
Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok was selected as the inaugural Hall of Legends inductee by Riot Games in 2024. The honor recognized his long career in League of Legends, his international championships, and his influence on the game’s professional scene. Faker had played for T1 and its predecessor organizations since the beginning of his elite career.
Faker won the League of Legends World Championship in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, and 2024. His most famous champion associations include LeBlanc, Zed, Ryze, and Azir, although his career includes performances on many others. He is widely known by the nickname “Unkillable Demon King.”
The Hall of Legends is separate from the annual World Championship and from the LoL Esports Hall of Fame concepts used by other organizations. Riot introduced it as a way to honor influential players across League of Legends history. Faker’s induction was announced before the ceremony and was accompanied by commemorative in-game content.
