Which Kirby game introduced the Hypernova ability?
Answer
Kirby Triple Deluxe
Answer
Kirby Triple Deluxe
The Kirby game that introduced the Hypernova ability is Kirby: Triple Deluxe. In this game, Kirby eats a Miracle Fruit and becomes Hypernova Kirby, gaining an enormously powerful inhaling ability.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe was developed by HAL Laboratory and released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2014. The adventure follows Kirby as he travels through six worlds to rescue King Dedede after Taranza carries him away to the floating kingdom of Floralia.
Hypernova is an enhanced form of Kirby's familiar inhaling power rather than a standard Copy Ability. It lets him draw in huge objects that ordinary inhaling cannot move, including large blocks, trees, and other environmental obstacles. Many puzzles and set pieces are designed around redirecting or manipulating these objects with Hypernova.
The ability is closely tied to the game's 3D presentation and its movement between foreground and background. Kirby Star Allies and Kirby Planet Robobot introduced other major mechanics, but neither debuted Hypernova. Kirby's Return to Dream Land also predates Triple Deluxe without introducing it.
