In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which group kidnaps the Waddle Dees?

The Beast Pack kidnaps the Waddle Dees in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

The kidnapping begins after Kirby is pulled through a dark vortex from Planet Popstar into a mysterious abandoned world. There, he discovers that the Waddle Dees have been captured by the region’s native wildlife, collectively known as the Beast Pack. Kirby finds Waddle Dee Town damaged and begins rescuing its inhabitants with help from Elfilin.

The Beast Pack is led by Leongar, a lion who initially appears to be acting independently. As the story unfolds, Kirby learns that the extraterrestrial entity Fecto Forgo formed the group by possessing Leongar and manipulating its members. The kidnapped Waddle Dees are being held for labor as part of a plan connected to the ancient facility called Lab Discovera.

The Beast Pack should not be confused with King Dedede, who fights Kirby while hypnotized by the group. Dedede is being controlled rather than serving as the kidnappers’ leader. The group also includes several animal-like bosses and fighters encountered throughout the New World.
