Which K-Pop group Jay Park previously belong?

The story behind the answer

Jay Park previously belonged to the K-pop group 2PM. He debuted with the group in 2008 under JYP Entertainment and initially served as its leader, using his Korean name Park Jaebeom. 2PM quickly became one of the prominent second-generation K-pop boy bands, known for energetic performances and songs such as “10 Out of 10” and “Again & Again.”

Jay Park’s time in 2PM was brief. He left the group in September 2009 after controversy over old online comments he had written before becoming famous. The remaining members continued as a six-member group, while Jay Park later built a successful solo career as a singer, rapper, producer, dancer, and entrepreneur.

A common mix-up is confusing 2PM with 2AM, another JYP-related group formed from the same broader trainee project, One Day. 2AM focused more on ballads, while 2PM became associated with performance-driven pop. Jay Park was a founding member of 2PM, not 2AM, although both groups shared early training and industry connections.
