Which historical assassin is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Revelations?

The story behind the answer

Ezio Auditore is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

The game follows an older Ezio as he travels to Constantinople in the early sixteenth century. He seeks keys connected to Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad’s former headquarters at Masyaf and becomes involved in the political struggle between the Byzantine and Ottoman factions.

Revelations is the final main game centered on Ezio. It also connects his story directly to Altaïr through playable memories, allowing the game to close major threads begun in the original Assassin’s Creed. Constantinople, now Istanbul, is the principal urban setting, with districts such as Galata and Imperial visible during exploration.

Altaïr is important to the game but is not its main present-day protagonist. Edward Kenway stars in Black Flag, and Bayek of Siwa stars in Origins. The title therefore belongs to Ezio’s concluding chapter.
