Which Harry Potter film was the first to feature actor Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 was the first Harry Potter film to feature Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour.

Nighy appears as Scrimgeour, the Minister for Magic who succeeds Cornelius Fudge. In the film’s early scenes, Scrimgeour addresses the wizarding community and later visits the Burrow to read Albus Dumbledore’s will to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

The character’s appearance is brief but important because the Ministry is struggling to respond to Voldemort’s return. Scrimgeour represents the government’s attempt to project strength while the wizarding world is increasingly controlled by Voldemort’s followers.

Deathly Hallows – Part 1 was released in 2010 and adapts the first half of Rowling’s final novel. Part 2 followed in 2011 and completed the story, but Nighy’s first appearance as Scrimgeour occurs in Part 1.
