Which Harry Potter film introduces the character of Viktor Krum?

The story behind the answer

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire introduces the character of Viktor Krum.

Krum is the celebrated Bulgarian seeker who represents Durmstrang Institute in the Triwizard Tournament. He arrives at Hogwarts with the Durmstrang delegation and competes against Harry, Cedric Diggory and Fleur Delacour.

The film also shows Krum as an international Quidditch star. He had already gained fame before the tournament, and his athletic reputation makes him one of the competition’s most formidable champions. His appearance expands the story beyond Hogwarts and presents other European wizarding schools.

Stanislav Yanevski played Krum in the film. The character is sometimes confused with Igor Karkaroff, Durmstrang’s headmaster, or with Bulgarian Quidditch references elsewhere in the story. Krum’s first film appearance is specifically in Goblet of Fire, the fourth main entry.
